Available from Absolute Machine Tools, the Precihole GVN25C gundrilling machine is capable of drilling 0.20" to 1.00"-diameter holes ranging to 40" in depth. The twin-spindle machine handles components as large as 5" in diameter and weighing as much as 110 lbs. The 10-hp spindle provides speeds ranging from 600 to 6,500 rpm. Rapid traverse rates are 320 ipm, and component rotation speed is 120 rpm.
The gundrilling machine also features a high-speed PLC and a main console with touchscreen. It is equipped with a high-pressure coolant system, a filtration system, centralized lubrication, and ballscrew and servo drives for linear motion. Optional features include a chip conveyor, coolant oil chiller, automatic loading and unloading system, additional spindles, and FANUC or Siemens CNCs.
