The pocket design and clamping system on Ingersoll’s Gold Twist replaceable tip drills provide stable performance after multiple tip indexes. The drill bodies also feature twisted coolant holes, polished flutes and a PVD coating that enables smooth chip evacuation and prolonged tool life. Drill bodies are available in lengths measuring 3×D, 5×D and 8×D.
 

Tip diameters range from 0.3937" to 0.7834" (10 to 19.9 mm) in 0.004" (0.1-mm) increments. The IN2505-grade drill tips feature a multi-layered PVD coating designed to enhance performance, improve wear resistance and increase tool life in a variety of applications. The geometry is designed for steel applications, and additional geometries for stainless steel, cast iron and nonferrous materials will be available at a later date.
