View MoreMazak Corp. Quick Turn 450MY multitasking CNC turning center features an optional 120" (3,000-mm) bed length, a through-hole chuck package and integral turning spindle motor. The machine combines milling capability and Y-axis functionality. Its advanced technology, productivity and value provide strong performance for shops large and small.
For part-processing versatility, the machine offers a maximum machining diameter of 22.83" (579.9 mm) and a maximum workpiece length of 122" (3,098.8 mm) on the 120" (3,000 mm) bed length version. An 80" (2,000 mm) bed length version with a maximum workpiece length of 80.31" (2,040 mm) is also available.
With a bar diameter capacity of 7.24" (184 mm), the main spindle includes an 18" chuck, a 50-hp (37 kW) motor and a maximum speed of 2,000 rpm. The rotary tool turret spindle provides 10.0 hp (8 kW) with a maximum speed of 6,000 rpm and 12-tool capacity.
The machine includes the Mazatrol SmoothG CNC with Mazatrol conversational programming and EIA/ISO programming capabilities. Its Automatic Tool Eye, an automatic tool presetting system, is a standard feature. Operators simply bring the tool tip in contact with the Tool Eye, which automatically records the offset of the tool nose position, tool measurement and data registration to promote accuracy and reduce setup time.
