The rotary thread inspection tool from Thread Check Inc. inspects screw threads for functional size and depth. According to the company, the power-driven thread gage virtually eliminates operator fatigue and repetitive-motion injuries as the motor turns the gage. The portable instrument is designed for industrial use and includes high-performance, rechargeable NIMH “quick change” batteries for increased operating time.
A specified thread gage depth can be set to automatically reverse the tool out of the thread when the gage has reached the specified depth. The proper depth is confirmed by a green light indicator. The tool uses standard or custom taperlock-style thread plug gages that can be changed easily for multiple jobs, the company says.
