Large tapping applications include those required for wind energy, heavy industry and power-generation manufacturing. By eliminating machine spindle reversal, cycle time is improved, electrical-power consumption is reduced, and wear and tear to the spindle is virtually eliminated without stopping and reversing twice for each tapped hole, the company says.
The tapping attachment features a modular straight shank and a high-pressure internal coolant system. It can fit virtually any CNC machining center.
