Acme and stub Acme thread milling cutters are available in thread sizes ranging from 1/4"-16 to 1" - 5. The tools are available in uncoated and TiAlN-coated micrograin carbide. Long and standard-length versions are available from stock. Advantages over tapping when cutting deep acme threads include reduced horsepower requirements and better surface finishes, the company says.
