Leaders-In background

Chiron Group showcases its latest advancements in high-precision manufacturing, featuring the Micro5 XL micromachining center and the FZ 19 S five-axis machining center. From ultra-precise micro components to larger, complex parts, both technologies are designed to increase productivity and improve accuracy across a wide range of industries.

The Micro5 XL expands workpiece capacity up to 120 mm while maintaining a compact footprint of only 1.7 m². Designed for demanding precision applications, the Micro5 XL features highly dynamic five-axis kinematics, spindle speeds up to 50,000 rpm and jerk values reaching 900 m/s³. The result is said to be optimized surface quality, micron-level precision and reduced cycle times, even on highly intricate components. Typical applications include bone plates and medical implants, knee inserts, precision mechanical components and watch parts.

The machine is capable of machining challenging materials such as titanium, stainless steel and precious metals with consistency and accuracy.

Chiron also features the FZ 19 S five-axis, designed to provide power, rigidity and flexibility for larger and more demanding workpieces. With traverse paths of 850 mm (X), 960 mm (Y) and 700 mm (Z), the machine is well-suited for aerospace, mechanical engineering and other high-precision applications requiring complex multi-axis machining.

The FZ 19 S combines robust machine construction with Chiron’s spindle technology to provide high torque and dynamic machining performance when machining difficult materials such as titanium.

A large-capacity tool magazine supports complex geometries, multiple part variants and demanding production requirements, making the FZ 19 S well-suited for both flexible job-shop environments and high-volume manufacturing.
