View MoreTungaloy Corp. expands its Y-Pro Series with the addition of precision-ground YCGT inserts featuring a 25-degree corner angle for enhanced profiling and undercutting performance.
The Y-Pro Series is well-suited for complex turning operations such as profiling, undercutting and V-groove machining. Its specialized 25-degree corner angle design enables high-precision machining while avoiding interference. It is also compatible with multitasking machines and automatic lathes.
YCGT inserts deliver dimensional accuracy and edge quality comparable to grinding processes. The 25-degree corner-angle design enables precise machining of intricate shapes and small components. The insert supports stable machining with minimal dimensional variation in high-precision finishing operations.
The inserts feature specialized 3D chipbreaker geometry which optimizes chipbreaking and evacuation. It performs effectively across a wide range of applications and reduces chip entanglement and interference with the workpiece.
The SH7025 grade provides an optimal balance of wear resistance and toughness. The grade supports consistent tool life even during extended periods of continuous machining and produces optimal surface gloss and smoothness, minimizing the need for secondary operations.
