Leaders-In background

Botek America features its Type 01 single-flute gundrill with indexable inserts, designed to provide high productivity and flexibility in deep-hole drilling applications. Engineered for larger diameters, the Type 01 combines precision performance with reduced tooling costs, making it well-suited for high-volume and repeat production environments.

Unlike solid carbide tools that require regrinding, the Type 01 utilizes replaceable cutting inserts and guide pads, allowing operators to quickly change worn components and return to production with minimal downtime. This design not only simplifies maintenance but also promotes consistent tool length and performance across multiple tool changes.

The tool is designed to maintain tight tolerances and optimal hole straightness, even in demanding applications. Its internal coolant design supports reliable chip evacuation and thermal stability, which are critical for deep-hole drilling performance.

By reducing material waste, minimizing downtime and improving process reliability, the Type 01 is intended to help manufacturers achieve greater efficiency without sacrificing precision. It is particularly well-suited for industries requiring large-diameter deep holes, including automotive, energy and heavy equipment manufacturing.
