Grieve’s No. 965 is a 1,350°F, electrically-heated cabinet oven for heat treating titanium parts. With workspace measuring 24" × 24" × 24", the oven has 30 kW of power installed in nickel chrome wire coils supported by a stainless steel frame to heat the oven. A 1,300-cfm, 1 ½-hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.
This cabinet oven features 11"-thick insulated walls, comprising 2" of 1,900°F block and 9" of 10-lbs-per-cubic-foot density rockwool insulation. The exterior is aluminized steel, and the interior is type 304, 2B-finish stainless steel. Inner door gaskets seal directly against the door plug and outer gaskets seal directly against the face of the oven for seal integrity.
Oven controls include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, a recirculating blower airflow safety switch, a circular chart temperature recorder, and an SCR power controller and fused disconnect switch.
