View MoreJetcam’s Jet-Cut is a fully automatic fly-cutting feature for lasers. Part of the v20 release of the company’s Expert nesting and automation software, it includes efficient path optimization algorithms and anti-crash options. Automatic generation of rounded tangential positioning movements speed up processing and extend machine service life by not forcing the axis to decelerate to a stop when changing direction.
The feature enables faster laser cutting of complex grids of holes without having to specify which areas should have the logic applied. Artificial intelligence algorithms apply the logic on any suitable geometry. Users can import a CAD file, apply profiling information and nest components automatically. In full remote-control processing mode, the system can be set to listen for instructions from external systems such as MRP, process them and report back when complete, thus automating the CNC programming process.
