The mechanical efficiencies of the WhisperFoil XL six-blade fan include quality air flow for summer cooling and reversibility for winter heat de-stratification, says manufacturer Micro Air. With diameters ranging to 24 ft., the HVLS fans are said to solve air-quality problems by continuously circulating large air masses. Advantages of the fans include healthier air quality, coverage without drafts and drier work areas. The fans are also said to decrease bacteria, mold, mildew and spoilage.
