CAD/CAM software developer Delcam has established a new joint venture company in Denmark, Delcam Denmark. The company was formed in partnership with local CAD/CAM specialist Soren Friis, who will serve as director. It will eventually support Delcam’s complete range of products, although the initial focus will be CAM software, particularly PowerMill, FeatureCAM and Delcam for SolidWorks. It will also offer consultancy services.
Delcam has been active for years in Denmark through resellers and has a number of large international companies as customers, including LEGO, ECCO, Siemens Wind Power, Vestas and Danfoss, as well as many smaller subcontract manufacturers and toolmakers. The software developer says forming the new joint venture is a commitment to invest further in the market, support existing customers more effectively and increase sales.
