DMG, Mori Combine U.S. Operations
Machine tool manufacturers DMG and Mori Seiki will join forces in the United States.
Machine tool manufacturers DMG and Mori Seiki will join forces in the United States. Mori Seiki Co., Ltd has agreed with Gildemeister Aktiengesellschaft (DMG) to assume all U.S. sales and service-related activities effective April 1.
The new entity, DMG/Mori Seiki USA (Hoffman Estates, Illinois), will assume responsibility for supporting all products manufactured by either company. Expanded service will be available to DMG users as existing product knowledge and expertise is transferred to Mori and its nationwide distributor network. DMG/Mori Seiki will also provide after-sales service, spare parts, training and engineering support.
“Our joint, innovative customer focus allows us to approach the challenges posed by the international economic crisis in a more targeted manner and to overcome them,” says Dr. Rudiger Kapitza, chairman of the executive board of Gildemeister Aktiengesellschaft. Additional advantages of the partnership include consolidation of parts inventory and improved customer service for users of both Mori and DMG machines, the companies say.
