Zeiss changes its name to reflect the growth and development of the company over the course of several years.
Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology LLC changed its legal name to Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions LLC on July 1, 2022 to reflect the growth and development of the company. With the acquisition of several companies in recent years and the continued development of advanced technologies, the change seeks to express the expertise and inspection solutions now available to customers through Zeiss.
Zeiss says it focuses on supporting its customers with a commitment that remains its highest priority. Everything from sales to service — including new system purchases, measuring services, maintenance and repair — is organized under the new company. With this change, Zeiss reports it is able to provide even better sales, service and support.
In addition, Zeiss says its customers now benefit from its significantly expanded expertise and product portfolio with recent acquisitions of Bosello, Gom GmbH and Capture 3D. The new legal name, Zeiss says, embodies the growth, expanding product range and solutions it offers — including coordinate measuring machines, optical and multisensor systems, microscopes for industrial quality assurance, 3D surface scanning and testing technology and X-ray inspection.
With a portfolio aligned with future growth areas like digitalization, healthcare and Smart Production and a strong brand, Zeiss says it aims to shape the future of technology and enhance the world of optics and related fields with its solutions. According to the company, its investments in research and development lay the foundation for the success and continued expansion of Zeiss' technology and market presence.
