Mate Precision Technologies announces the retirement of Kevin Nicholson, its president of 19 years, and the appointment of Joe Schneider as its new president.
Schneider brings over 31 years of experience at Mate. With a strong focus on market and customer needs, he offers extensive knowledge of the company and the industries it serves. During his tenure, he developed a comprehensive background in marketing and product development, supporting numerous product introductions that elevated the brand. Committed to innovation, quality and service, Schneider is focused on growing the business and serving Mate’s global customers.
Schneider started at Mate’s German subsidiary, Mate GmbH, in 1994. He returned to the U.S. in 1996 and held progressively responsible roles in engineering and management, culminating in his appointment as vice president of marketing in 2006. He holds BSME and MBA degrees from the University of Minnesota.
“What’s not changing is Mate’s dedication to providing innovative products and outstanding service,” says Dean Sundquist, Mate’s chairman and CEO. “Our customers count on us to provide strong in-field technical support in the industry, and Joe will continue this tradition.”
“We’re excited about the future and look forward to a fresh perspective with Joe Schneider as the new president,” Sundquist adds. “His many years of experience will help Mate continue to grow our existing product lines and pursue other opportunities in the metal cutting and metal forming industries.”
