Milko Merlo has become president of cutting tool supplier Walter AG, parent company of Walter USA (Waukesha, Wisconsin). He succeeds former president Andreas Evertz, who will become president of Sandvik Machining Solutions, of which Walter is a part.
Most recently, Mr. Merlo served as the company’s executive vice president and a member of the board. Other duties since joining Walter in 1984 include responsibility for business operations in Brazil, the United Kingdom and Italy as well as a stint as president of the Western Europe region.
