Okuma America Corporation (Charlotte, North Carolina) is hosting a number of events throughout the fall that will showcase its new and existing CNC machine tool and control technology.
The first will be the grand opening event November 12 and 13 for the company’s recently opened office and showroom in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Next, the company will team with Hartwig Houston to host an open house at the Okuma Tech Center in Houston, Texas, November 15. The event, titled “Go Beyond Productivity to Profitability,” will concentrate on helping companies identify current technology that will increase their ability to be profitable. Partners in THINC member companies will display peripheral equipment that can improve the productivity of Okuma machine tools, and the new Okuma P300 THINC control will be available for hands-on Try It demonstrations of Advanced One-Touch IGF, Collision Avoidance System and more. Finally, the company will host its 2012 Technology Showcase December 4-6 at Partners in THINC and Okuma headquarters. The event will feature 26 CNC machines, including the MCR-BIII double-column machining center, the new MU-10000H 5-axis horizontal machining center and other new machines that were shown at IMTS. A wide variety of equipment, including small and large horizontal lathes, 5-axis machines, multi-function machines and vertical and horizontal machining centers will be tooled up and running.
