Seco Tools has announced a restructuring of its organization to better align itself with the Seco global strategy and to enhance its ability to engage and serve customers. The company has also streamlined its physical operations by relocating the Jabro sales office in Virginia to corporate headquarters in Troy, Michigan.

A key to the focus on customer engagement and support is moving the Customer Service department from Operations to Sales, the company says. Lou Novacco, director of North American Sales, notes that closer alignment of customer service and sales facilitates the common goal of adding value and enhancing customer relationships. The Custom Tooling Operations (CTO) has been shifted to the Marketing and Product Development department. There, the CTO will join forces with the Component Engineered Tooling (CET) group to help the company deliver on its philosophy of selling solutions, not just tooling, says Bob Goulding, who will manage both groups.
