FANUC’s Series 3xi-Model B CNC features updates said to improve machining performance and ease of use. A new CNC platform and advancements in high-speed five-axis capabilities is said to reduce cycle times while improving part accuracy and quality. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity enables transferring data wirelessly between a tablet and CNC. CAD/CAM and other PC-based machine peripherals can be shown directly on the CNC, eliminating the need for the operator to leave the machine. The CNC also includes enhanced 3D graphics with Manual Guide i, larger data storage, and use of peripheral devices such as a keyboard and mouse.

The CNC is equipped with high-speed smooth TCP with tolerance control said to reduce cycle times while improving part accuracy and quality in simultaneous five-axis high-speed machining. A hand-held iPendant is said to improve operability. FANUC’s Series 3xi-Model B controls offer enhanced high-speed and large-capacity, multipath PMC with large-scale sequence control. Developed for high-performance machine tools, the CNC supports as many as 32 servo axes, 24 simultaneous interpolated axes, eight spindles and five independent PMC machine ladders.
