Shigiya’s GPD double-drive CNC cylindrical grinders are designed to simplify setup, improve processing accuracy and improve maintenance using a double center drive system. The GPD is equipped with NC movable work heads on the left and right sides. The distance between centers can be adjusted without changing the setup to support workpiece lengths between 30 and 430 mm. The cubic boron nitride (cBN) wheel, in combination with a multi-step sizing in-process gauge, enables consistent processing accuracy with high precision. The machine features a 200-mm diameter swing over table, a distance between centers of 430 mm and a maximum grinding diameter of 80 mm.
