MultiCam's 5000 series of CNC routers is designed for high-speed nested-based cabinet production and other heavy-duty CNC routing applications. The routers feature digital AC servodrives enabling 2,200-ipm rapid traverse rates. A precision-ground helical rack, heavy box-frame design and 25-mm linear bearings are said to virtually eliminate vibration during cutting. The routers are equipped with standard vacuum tables and pumps customized to the application.
The routers are available in sizes ranging to 60 × 10 ft. with various spindle configurations and functional options, such as gang drills and aggregate heads for nonferrous metal machining. They can also be equipped with a rigid tapping spindle and automatic toolchanger.
