JMMS will showcase its hybrid tooling made of multiple alloys, including aluminum alloys such as QC10. The hybrid tooling is said to offer faster cycle times and decreased costs while maintaining durability and reliability. The hybrid molds combine materials for specific performance and production characteristics, including aluminum inserts for faster heat transfer and shorter cycle times, and shut-offs made from MoldMax, a copper beryllium alloy with higher density for improved thermal conductivity, the company says.
