Parlec offers a SpeedScan measuring routine feature in the upgrade to its ParleVision CNC automated tool measuring and presetting software. SpeedScan enables automatic measurement of standard tools without any data input, reducing the risk of operator error and increasing efficiency. The software upgrade is said to provide easy navigation and a quicker start-up time for users. Integrating the SpeedScan feature into existing CNC-operated systems can be done in less than 15 min., the company says.
The forces involved in the milling process can be quantified, thus allowing mathematical tools to predict and control these forces. Formulas for calculating these forces accurately make it possible to optimize the quality of milling operations.
