As requested by popular demand, Scytec Consulting has added support for Modbus TCP to its DataXchange machine monitoring platform, greatly expanding the range of compatible devices. The company says manufacturers using programming logic controllers (PLCs) and robots will particularly benefit, especially those who use cobots.
The software can monitor cobot efficiency and send alerts to users. The insights into production data should help customers identify bottlenecks, minimize downtime and improve production efficiency, whether in a high-volume lights-out setting or a low-volume job shop.
