Modular Systems Provide Custom Chip Processing

PRAB offers modular chip-processing systems that can be equipped with all of the equipment needed to effectively process scrap in a small footprint. The systems can incorporate equipment such as material-handling conveyors, pre-processing crushers, shredders, wringers and centrifuges. Options include briquetting, fluid recycling and filtration equipment. Standard modular components are offered for unified modification and routine maintenance.

Designed originally for the automotive industry, the modular systems are well-suited for OEMs requiring regional collection and processing points rather than central chip- and fluid-processing systems, the company says. The systems are said to enable faster installation times and change-over.
