Monaghan Tooling Group’s Vergnano H-Series high-performance machine taps are designed for challenging materials such as hardened steel, nonferrous metals, superalloys and more. Manufactured from premium micrograin carbide and engineered with advanced geometries and coatings, these taps are available in sizes ranging from 3-16 mm (0.118-0.63") for both blind hole and through-hole applications. The series includes six tap families, each designed for specific combinations of hole type, thread form and material group, offering improved tool life, process reliability and thread quality.
The Vergnano H-Series taps enable increased cutting speeds while maintaining tight tolerances and promoting the structural integrity of critical components. Versions are available for creating blind holes and through holes with speed, precision and reliability, making them well suited for critical applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, agriculture and general manufacturing.
The HB29 is a general-purpose cutting tap for 3-10 mm (0.118-0.394") blind holes in medium to long chipping materials like cast iron, aluminum and aluminum alloys. The HB43 and HB45 are high-performance machine taps with through-coolant for 3-16 mm (0.118-0.63") blind hole tapping applications in short chipping materials like cast iron and cast aluminum. The HB80 is a cold forming tap with oil grooves for 3-10 mm (0.118-0.394") blind holes or through-holes for chip-free threading in alloy steels and other difficult materials. The HB81 is a fine pitch cold forming tap with oil grooves for 8-16 mm (0.315-0.63") blind holes or through-holes for mild and stainless steels, aluminum and aluminum alloys, as well as nickel and nickel alloys. Lastly, the H130 is a cold forming tap for 3-12 mm (0.118-0.472") blind holes or through-holes for medium chipping materials like hardened steel.
