The compactor reduces the space needed to handle, store and transport metal chips and shavings by compressing them into dry, solid briquettes. It also facilitates environmentally sound storage and disposal, the company says. Easing classification of different metal types reduces labor costs and enhances their scrap value.
According to the company, another benefit is that during compression, cutting fluids are automatically separated and recovered. The compact design and small footprint make the compactor suited for small- and medium-capacity applications. Optional crushers and conveyors are available.
