OSG Tap & Die offers additional tap sizes ranging from M16 to M24 in its Exotap-DC series. Constructed of VC-10 powdered metal high-speed steel, the taps are designed for machining cast iron and cast aluminum. Highly rigid cutting edges are said to resist chipping and wear for more stable cutting performance. The taps are available in both non-coolant and coolant-through styles, and can be coated with OSG’s V coating to extend tool life.
