The wheel grinder features a high-speed, cam-driven, double-grip loader to cut floor-to-floor times. The grinding head features an integrated stock dividing sensor to reduce setup time. Stock dividing is done quickly and automatically using the machine’s NC motions rather than relying on manual adjustment, the company says.
In addition, the wheel grinder features various dressing systems designed for either maximum dressing speed or maximum flexibility. For high volumes and maximum productivity, a diamond-plated master dressing system is integrated into the clamping fixture. For flexibility, users can opt for a CNC dressing unit with a single-flank dressing tool can be used. This unit features the company’s contour dressing software, and its precise axis motions can create virtually any profile modification to the grinding wheel, the company says. Also available is a conventional CNC dressing unit with a double-flank dressing gear to simultaneously dress both flanks.
