Three-Flute End Mills for Aggressive Operations
SGS Tool Company offers its series 33 three-flute end mills designed for difficult materials and applications.
SGS Tool Company offers its series 33 three-flute end mills designed for difficult materials and applications. The high-performance end mills are well-suited for aggressive ramping, pocketing and slotting of materials such as stainless steel, titanium and Inconel. An open structure at the axial end accommodates material flow and reduces load during machining operations for aerospace structure components, medical replacement parts and automotive performance components.
The stepped-core design provides increased chip control and rigidity when the flute is completely engaged. The variable helix and pitch configuration is said to suppress chatter and vibration, while the symmetrical end gashing improves balance and ramping capabilities. The tool series is available with the Ti-Namite-A abrasive resistant coating for reduced wear and longer tool life.
