VX Corporation’s VX 2009 v14.2 contains enhancements to drafting, modeling and two through five-axis CAM. Other performance enhancements have been added to the direct-edit shape morph technology and sectioning of unhealed imported parts.

Users can build a “lightweight” morph feature that can be edited and tweaked more rapidly, the company says. It is suited for shape morphing of non-stylistic applications such as bending and unbending parts, model repair, back-draft correction and applying over bend.

While the software always has been able to produce section views of unhealed imported parts for quoting and inspection, the update enhances the tool kit with support for bent sections of open shapes.
