Nikon Metrology System Provides Highly Accurate Inspection
Eastec 2023: iNexiv VMA multisensor CNC inspection system enables the operator to quickly create part inspection routines.
Nikon Metrology showcases its iNexiv VMA multisensor CNC inspection system in booth 3059 at Eastec 2023.
The iNexiv VMA incorporates either a black-and-white or color camera with Nikon’s zoom optical system and includes optional laser autofocus and/or touch probe. Nikon’s 10:1 zoom optical system enables the operator to select the proper magnification to measure their samples, and the high numerical aperture permits viewing of difficult edges. The laser autofocus feature quickly puts the part in focus or captures accurate Z-height data independent of the zoom systems magnification. The touch probe system enables the measurement of 3D features, as well as features not visible to the vision probe.
The iNexiv VMA is available in three stage sizes: the VMA-2520 comes with a 250 × 200 mm XY stage; the VMA-4540 has a 450 × 400 mm stage; and the VMA-6555 offers a 650 × 550 mm stage. The iNexiv VMA systems are programmed using either Nikon’s AutoMeasure software or QxSoft CMM-Manager software, both of which enable the operator to quickly create part inspection routines. This is said to be an ideal solution for applications involving the measurement of medical device, aerospace, electronic connectors, machined and/or injected molded parts. iNexiv VMA systems are backed by Nikon Metrology’s service and application team.
