Markus Schnyder, head of division of the Swiss tool specialist Mikron Tool, recently handed over the management of the company to his long-time companion, Elio Lupica. After 24 years at the forefront of Mikron Tool, Schnyder is retiring, but will still be available to the company in a consulting function.

Lupica graduated in business administration from the University of Lugano. He joined Mikron Tool in 2005 as the head of finance and controlling. Lupica took over the management of the Agno, Rottweil and Shanghai sites in 2016, and he was the deputy division head alongside Schnyder for all those years.

Founded in 1998, Mikron Tool SA developed under their management into a division of Mikron Switzerland AG with four facilities worldwide. Within 24 years, the company grew from 30 to 245 employees. In 2022, a new production hall with an area of 1,000 square meters was commissioned at the headquarters in Agno to increase the production capacities for Swiss precision tools.

In the future, under the leadership of Lupica, the company will continue to expand its strategic vision. To achieve this, Mikron Tool will continue to invest in the latest technologies to constantly optimize its high standards on quality and performance.
