Carmex Precision Tools highlights its FSH solid carbide thread mills. Designed for faster, more accurate thread milling in hard and heat-resistant materials up to 65 HRC, the FSH thread mills are constructed of ultra-fine-grain carbide with a physical vapor deposition (PVD) multilayer Nano coatings and ranging from five to seven flutes, depending on size.
The left-handed helix configuration is said to result in a faster, smoother and more accurate cut due to reduced deflection. The FSH series, which extends from M2 × 0.4 through M16 × 1.75 mm pitch, and offers thread forms from 2-56 through ¾ 10UN that can be used in both conventional machining and Swiss-style applications.
