BobCAD-CAM will be demonstrating version 30 of its flagship product. Designed as a low-cost CAD/CAM option, the software enables two- to five-axis milling and turning, two- and four-axis wire EDM, and sheet optimization for improved workflow and part programming in a variety of applications.

As with previous versions, the company says its products are the result of listening to its customers and making enhancements based on feedback.

Programming a robot with the same CAM software used for a multi-axis machine tool makes it unnecessary to “teach” the robot by jogging it manually from point to point and recording these point-to-point moves as the robot’s motion commands. Robotmaster is a software package that provides this CAD/CAM-based, off-line programming for robots. It runs fully integrated inside Mastercam CAM software for CNC machine tools.
