Hainbuch America offers a quick-change workholding system consisting of a chuck and small, flexible jaw module for smaller workpieces ranging to 200 mm. The system is designed to cover a large clamping range for ID, OD and jaw clamping, while enabling fast change-over for larger workpieces and promoting accuracy and reliability. The basic unit is a Spanntop or Toplus chuck with added jaw module, clamping heads and mandrels. Two sizes are available, with the 144 model offering a clamping range of 25 to 115 mm, and the 215 model offering 25 to 200 mm.
The system is said to provide minimal interference contour, optimal jaw utilization, fast and repeatable setup, and rigid workpiece clamping. A guideway seal helps resist contamination. The system is suitable for sensitive clamping and delicate components and can optionally be used as a pick-up chuck on subspindles.
