Fryer Machine Systems’ Easy Turn Toolroom Turning (ET-TR) Lathes are built in the U.S. for toolrooms, repair shops, tool and die, prototype and job shop applications.

According to Fryer, full manual operation enables anyone in the shop to use the machine regardless of CNC experience. Manual handles, which are provided for the carriage and cross slide, feature full digital readout (DRO) of position. Manual handles also feature electronic stops and a chamfer mode. In addition, a jog joy stick enables manual feed control.

Fryer’s Easy Turn machines also eliminate manual setups with “Do One” cycles. These cycles enable users to automatically thread, rough, turn, drill and tap, one step at a time. Manual operations and semi-automatic operations can be mixed to speed through one-piece production.

The Easy Turn machines are designed with Shop Turn, an intuitive conversational programming system. This software speeds up automatic programming and features interactive graphic screens and simulations. ET-TR machines also feature industry standard G code and may be used with all CAD/CAM systems.

Equipped with a rugged cast-iron body, high-precision ballscrews and bearings and two-speed headstock, the machine is reportedly tested to provide ±0.0002" accuracy. Built for its accuracy, reliability and ease of use, Fryer provides a two-year warranty on its Easy Turn Toolroom Lathes.
