The 5,000-psi air hydraulic pump from Kurt Workholding is designed to provide constant hydraulic pressure and holding power for a range of precision clamping applications. The compact, portable and lightweight pump is driven by a high-efficiency pneumatic motor and is operated by a foot pedal that is designed for ease of use, the company says. It maintains constant pressure when the foot pedal is depressed, regardless of system pressure, to ensure accurate and repeatable clamping pressure with every clamping cycle, the company says.
Designed for single-acting systems, the pump features an internal, load-limiting valve that protects against overload. An exhaust muffler is designed to provide quiet operation. Air and oil filters protect the system from environmental contaminants. The pump operates with 9- to 145-psi of input pressure.
