View MoreMidaco’s A4020SD mid-size automatic pallet changer (APC) is designed to be used with VMCs X and Y travels measuring 40" and 20", respectively. This automatic shuttle system comes with two aluminum pallets measuring 4" × 19" × 1.5" (1,016 × 482.6 × 38.1 mm). Cast iron pallets are also available. The system can be mounted on either the left or right side of the machine tool.
Integrated via M code, the shuttle is servo-driven, automatically switching pallets in approximately 15 sec., depending on the weight of the parts. The A4020SD’s 1,000-lb (454-kg) capacity pneumatic receiver is mounted directly onto the machine tool table and provides repeatability of ±0.0001" (0.0025 mm). A 2,000-lb (908-kg) capacity receiver option is also available. All APC systems from Midaco offer a three-sided CE door enclosure option or CE light curtain safety guarding option, both with no overhead obstructions.
