Roller Screw Actuators Provide High Dynamic Force Capacities

Creative Motion Control’s roller screw actuators are designed for high-speed, high-force linear motion control. The company offers the actuators in seven sizes (two of which are new) to provide continuous dynamic force capacities ranging from 6,000 to 95,000 lbf (28 to 423 kN).
According to the company, the new CPD-200 is specifically designed to handle high speeds for the robotic end-effect market. The larger CPD-900 offers dynamic load capacity ranging to 200,000 lbf (890 kN), to improve the capacity available from common electromechanical actuators.
A thrust bearing matches the roller screw capacity, providing as much as double the continuous dynamic force. The actuators are also said to be lubricated for life. All models are offered with multiple mounting options and input adapters to accommodate most servo motors.
