Zimmermann Inc.’s FZP37 gantry portal milling machine features a modular design that allows for different operating ranges and supports the integration of various brands of CNC controls. The company says the machine is designed to provide flexibility for a diverse range of manufacturing needs.

The FZP37 is suitable for applications requiring adaptable configurations, making it a versatile option for manufacturers looking to optimize their machining processes. It features the following working ranges: 3,000-40,000 mm (X-axis), 2,500-6,000 mm (Y-axis) and 1,250-3,000 mm (Z-axis). The machine can provide feed rates of up to 60 m/min with accelerations of up to 5 m/s2. The FZP37’s table size is 3,000-40,000 mm (L) × 2,500-6,000 mm (W) with a maximum load of 5,000 kg/m2

The structurally rigid center lead portal, cross- and Z-slides as well as dynamic milling heads facilitate a consistent, efficient milling process. Due to their combination of high thermostability and rigidity, the machines are able to meet the requirements of model making, tool and mold construction, including the demands of the aerospace and automotive industries. The five/six-axis FZP37 is also suitable for machining workpieces in shipbuilding and the alternative energy industry.
