Verisurf and Open X Talent Collaborate to Fill the Gaps
A collaboration between Verisurf Software and Open X Talent seeks to assist those interested in the manufacturing and metrology industry with training and job placement.
Verisurf Software is launching a collaboration with Open X Talent, the technical job placement division of Open X Education. Designed for individuals seeking a career in the manufacturing and metrology industry or looking to expand their skills, Open X now provides both training and job placement services.
Under the program, Verisurf works closely with Open X in the ongoing development of advanced curriculum for metrology applications, including CMM programming, measurement, inspection, quality reporting and reverse engineering. Coursework is presented through the Open X online learning platform, which offers scheduling flexibility. The online format allows the content to remain current, relevant and practical, addressing the latest technologies and workflow, such as programming Renishaw five-axis probing systems.
"Open X Talent is a natural extension to our successful Open X learning platform, especially for working professionals and students looking to get started in a new career. Now, we can close the gap through our goal of placing skilled workers within critical, under-filled jobs," says Cody James, CEO of Open X.
Individuals who already qualify and those completing one of the certificate programs are eligible for job placement through Open X Talent. The job placement service matches skilled workers with industry needs. Open X performs an extensive vetting process for applicants including screening, training and options for continuing education. This results in a more efficient recruiting process for employers and a greater chance of long-term employee retention, according to the company.

Verisurf Software was selected as the metrology training partner for Open X based on its software’s merit and the fact it was built on a CAD platform. Verisurf is considered a leader in developing and supporting metrology software solutions rooted in Model-Based Definition (MBD).
