South Bend’s 14" vertical metalcutting band saw features variable speed blade control ranging from 82 to 384 ft. per min. The band saw includes an on-board cutting, welding, annealing and grinding station for band saw blades. The band saw is suited for making internal contour cuts. For increased accuracy, a built-in chip blower keeps the cutting line-of-sight cleared.
Other features include NSK bearings, Allen Bradley controls and heavy-duty castings and components. Two models are available: The SB1012 model features a 1-hp, 110V/220-V, 1-phase, 60-Hz motor, and the SB1013 model features a 1-hp, 220-V, 3-phase, 60-Hz motor.
