The Kern ultra-precision Evo CNC machining center is equipped for three- to five-axis machining. The machine provides a positioning accuracy of ±0.0005 mm (0.00002") and a repetition accuracy of ± 0.0005 mm (0.00002"). Spindle speeds range from 500 to 50,000 rpm, and an optional spindle with speeds ranging from 60,000 to 160,000 rpm also is available. The machine features a polymer concrete frame; laser tool measuring; an infrared touch probe; and a two-axis, high-precision dividing head. It can be equipped with a 32-, 63- or 95-position automatic toolchanger.
