Eriez’ air-operated Burn Table Full Coverage Lift Magnet Systems features a large, full-contact magnetic surface area to move multiple parts in a single lift. According to the company, customer results indicate that the solution can quadruple burn table production and improve safety conditions by reducing employee exposure.
Manually unloading burn tables can be time-consuming, according to Eriez metalworking Market Manager Andy Kloecker. He says the Full Coverage Lift Magnets not only pick up many parts in a single lift, but also handle skeletons with ease because the magnetic circuit design eliminates gaps on the surface.
Customer testimonial indicates that the system eliminates manual handling and the need for operators to walk or climb on the table, which can be dangerous.
The Eriez Burn Table Full Coverage Lift Magnet System can pick up single sheets of thinner material from a stack for table loading, down to 3/16" sheet. This eliminates the need for spacers between sheets and the time-consuming separation processes while loading the table.
Operation of the system requires an overhead hoist and an air supply. The solenoid valve on the unit can be wired into existing crane controls, including wired pendant or hands-free radio control. The air source can be from shop air or a small, dedicated compressor mounted above on the crane bridge.
The Burn Table Full Coverage Lift Magnet’s permanent magnet circuit is designed to eliminates costly lift magnet controllers and safety concerns due to power failures.
