Hommel-Etamic announces its flexible pneumatic air gage, designed for flexibility in various applications. Measuring air nozzles are placed on high-precision tractable fingers to resemble a six-jaw chuck. The gage can accomodate for up to two circuits and three levels depending on the application. Changeover from one diameter to another is said to be possible in under five minutes.
The gage can measure shafts (pins or journals) in the same air mandrel with diameters ranging from 10 to 130mm. The same base can also be configured for measuring bores, such as rings from 20 to 150 mm in diameter.
In addition, the gage can be combined with a collaborative robot to provide a flexible and automated solution.
