Nidec Machining Center Accommodates Heavy Workpieces
The MV16BxII double-column machining center features a high-rigidity structure than can suppress deflection, and is capable of stable machining even in high-speed operations.
Nidec Machine Tool Corporation’s MV16BxII compact, double-column machining center comes equipped with a No. 50 main axis, boasts a maximum main axis rotating speed of 7,000min-1 and features a speed of 32 m/min. for each axis (Ⅹ, Y and Z), to shorten non-cutting time. In addition, to accommodate machining heavy workpieces, MV16BxII’s maximum loading mass is set to 8 tons. With three lines of linear guides on its X-axis, MV16BxII is of a high-rigidity structure than can suppress deflection, and is capable of stable machining even in high-speed operations.
MV16BxII uses all-axis, ball-screw, axis-center cooling technology for high-precision machining, and its double-anchor mechanism is said to ensure both high-speed movements and high rigidity. These features enables the MV16BxII to demonstrate high deeper-cut performance and accuracy, and achieve high productivity in rough through finish processing.
The MV16BxII adopts electric power units to reduce electric consumption, and uses a grease lubricant agent for its main and feeding axes to reduce the running cost of air, lubricant agent and more, as well as decrease workload during component replacements.
