Schwanog’s tooling systems are designed to provide high quality and efficiency in the manufacture of precision parts for industries including medical, automotive, aerospace and others.
The insertable tooling system can be applied but is not limited to applications such as OD/ID grooving, thread whirling, thread milling, single-point threading/turning and milling, broaching of serrations and grooves, form drilling, shaving and skiving and polygon turning.
The system can be used on any type of machine such as Swiss-types, conventional and multispindle automatic lathes, rotary transfer machines, HMCs, VMCs and so on.
According to Schwanog, the insertable tooling systems can eliminate the need to preset the tool due to tool changeovers being accomplished directly in the machine, resulting in significant reduction of machine downtime while significantly increasing productivity and process safety.
