The Freddy Ecovac 200 sump cleaner available from Sanborn Technologies can provide both suction and discharge of fluids simultaneously. Chips can be vacuumed from a sump while clean fluid is dispensed back to the tool to wash down the table and ways. The cleaning process can be completed without taking the machine tool out of service, the company says. The unit can suck a sump dry and also remove puddles of liquid from the floor for emergency spill control.
The sump cleaner is equipped with a 50-gallon storage tank, a 10- and 200-micron filter bag, three crevice attachments, a large chip extraction tool, and a 10-ft. suction hose.
